POPS is a non-profit association. The platform is free for everybody and stays that way — there are no paid features and there will not be. Your donation pays for the server, the map data and the work of verifying facilities.
What a donation pays for
Hosting on our own server in the European Union, map layers and backups; on-the-ground verification and work with municipalities; maintaining the open data anybody can download for free.
Bank transfer
We accept donations by bank transfer. There is no card form on the site: payment providers load third-party scripts and tracking cookies, and our promise is the opposite — see the Privacy page.
Bank details are not published here yet. Write to us and we will send them along with a donation contract.
Tax relief for donors
A donation is unrequited — no service in return, no invoice, and not advertising. Where the recipient is registered for public benefit, Bulgarian law provides donor relief:
- Companies: donations recognised as an expense up to 10% of accounting profit (art. 31 CITA).
- Individuals: annual tax base reduced by up to 5% (art. 22 PITA).
The association's registration is public and can be checked in the register of non-profit legal entities at the Registry Agency.
Thresholds and procedure change — confirm with your accountant before claiming relief.
Donation contract
For larger donations we sign a donation contract and issue the documents your accountant asks for. Partnership with a logo and acknowledgment is a different thing — that is a service with agreed deliverables and it is invoiced.
